The menu is not that extensive. Their specialty is their pizzas, and they have a few apps, salads, pastas, and sandwiches–nothing too fancy. They don’t really have any defined pizzas; it’s largely build your own, but they do offer a couple of suggestions. Prices are in the Bertucci’s range. A 12″ cheese runs you 10.95 + $1.50 for each topping. A 16″ is 13.95 + $2 per topping. You can choose from three different sauces, classic (which is your standard tomato sauce), spicy, and signature–a combo of classic and spicy. We ordered family style and shared a few plates.
For the pizza, my sister chose a signature sauce with sausage. Our server boasted about how the oven temp gets to over 900 degrees so I guess that’s supposed to be a good thing. I did enjoy the pizza. The crust was really thin and crispy. The sauce was pretty good–I’m glad we didn’t get spicy because I think the Signature sauce was already spicy enough. I think this place will do good things for the Howard County restaurant scene. It’s a nice change from all the corporate chain restaurants in every cookie cutter strip mall.

I love Pub Dog (formerly Thirsty Dog) pizza. My friends and I went there last week. For me, it was the first time in a long while I’d eaten there. I ordered the Fox and the Hound pizza, which has sausage, red pepper, and mushroom with smoked gouda cheese and mozz. So good! I also tried a new Belgian white ale that they have. Pretty good, kinda fruity.

We celebrated my dad’s birthday this past weekend. He wasn’t really up for going out to eat (I don’t blame him considering the huge sushi feast we had on New Year’s) so we made food at home instead. My sister and I made cream puffs and filled them with chocolate pudding. I like them because they’re not to sweet. Although it did make me miss Beard Papa’s in Boston (which unfortunately is now closed)
The next day we were looking forward to spending the day watching football, so we bought all these appetizer foods like wings and salsa from Costco and Trader Joe’s. We also picked up some Trader Joe’s premade whole wheat pizza dough. I rolled it out and we topped it with sauce, shredded colby jack cheese, fresh mozz, ricotta, red pepper, and pepperoni slices. I really like the pizza dough there; it makes making pizza super easy. and it’s only 99 cents!
